The Seniors of our school had an unforgettable opportunity after winning a spot in the national art exhibition at the Louvre, led by our marvellous Art Teacher, Miss Wardah Ambreen Sheikh. As a reward for their excellent hard work and creativity, they were invited to visit the Grand Louvre, one of the most renowned museums in the region.
What made this trip more satisfying was the fact that it was the day after the final exams where finished which really made the experience more enjoyable and relaxing. The trip was designed not only as a celebration of their achievement but also as an educational experience that would inspire their future artistic journeys.
Upon arriving, the students were guided to the exhibition area where they witnessed paintings and objects made of pure art. As they admired the art pieces, they saw their art piece that earned them that invite. Seeing their work displayed in such a distinguished environment filled them with pride. Many students expressed how surreal it is to see the months of hard work on display to all visitors.
After visiting their artwork, the students explored the museum itself. They walked under the iconic dome, observing how the “rain of light” illuminated the space. Moving through the galleries, students encountered paintings, artifacts, and sculptures from different parts of the world. These art pieces help them better connect what they studied in class with real examples from world culture and history.
The trip ended with a reflection session, where students shared how the experience inspired them to continue improving their artistic skills. This visit to the Louvre Abu Dhabi was a reward as well as a motivational milestone that encouraged them to dream bigger and create with passion.
