ADEK National Identity in Arts programme
The 2025 Youth ARTLAB, part of the ADEK National Identity in Arts Program, was proudly hosted at the Louver Abu Dhabi, providing an inspiring and world-class setting for young creatives. Students from Royal American School, guided by our incredible Art Teacher, Miss Warda Ambreen Sheikh, got invited to participate, giving us a unique opportunity to engage with art, culture, and national heritage in one of the world's most inspiring venues. We were guided by a knowledgeable tour guide who brought the museum to life with fascinating stories and cultural insights. He spoke about the significance, symbolism, and historical importance of palm trees in Emirati heritage. As we explored the galleries, he stopped at three carefully selected paintings that reflected the themes of nature, identity, and tradition across different regions. We were given sketchbooks and were encouraged to sketch each chosen painting. It was an inspiring artistic journey and a meaningful educational trip that deepened our understanding of identity, history, and the power of visual storytelling. This unforgettable experience not only strengthened our artistic capabilities but also enriched our cultural awareness, leaving us inspired to explore the world through both creativity and curiosity. It was a day that reminded us of the power of art to connect people, tell stories, and celebrate identity.
