What are your responsibilities as the head of the English department?
As the head of the English department, my primary responsibilities including overseeing curriculum development is ensuring academic standards, mentoring teachers, coordinating assessments, facilitating professional development, and enhancing student engagement through innovative teaching practices.
How do you train new teachers to adapt to our school's curriculum?
I provide new teachers with comprehensive orientation sessions that include curriculum workshops, paired classroom observations with experienced staff, and ongoing support through mentorship programs. This approach helps them understand our educational philosophy and teaching methods effectively.
What are your ways of teaching students?
I employ a variety of teaching strategies, including interactive discussions, project-based learning, technology integration, and differentiated instruction, to cater to diverse learning styles and promote critical thinking and creativity among students.
How many years have you been teaching in this school?
I have been teaching at the Royal American School for more than 7 years.
